On 25 June, we started work on the construction for the WIKINGER project. This consists of the manufacture and assembly of 29 jackets for offshore wind energy manufactured at the installations of NAVANTIA-FENE, and contracted by IBERDROLA.

The project comprises highly complex pyramid-type tubular structures that IBERDROLA will install in the German field WIKINGER situated in the North Sea. It should be mentioned that this is the first time that this kind of structure has been produced in series in Spain, and the project entails entry into a new and burgeoning sector. The work to be undertaken by NERVIÓN consists of assembling all the pieces of the jacket structures, and it will be performed over more than 13 months, until summer 2016.
